POPULAR QUESTIONS

What is the Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask?

Our new Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask is a luxurious purple deep conditioning mask, with crushed violet pigments that knocks out unwanted brassiness in just 1 minute. The mask is designed to replenish moisture and hydrate the hair, leaving hair evenly toned.

Why does blonde hair go brassy?

Blonde hair can go brassy when bleaching does not remove all of the underlying pigments in the hair. The underlying pigments that remain after colouring/lightening hair are yellow, orange, and red in colour. As the cool pigments (toners or hair colour) fade, the warm underlying pigments that are left behind after colouring can become visible, causing a brassy appearance. Using this mask will knock out the unwanted brassiness.

How long will the colour effects from using the Violet Crush for Blondes Purple Toning Mask last?

The color toning effect occurs after 1 minute. Similar to in salon toning treatments, the effects are temporary and will go away after discontinuing use of the Violet Crush for Blondes Purple Toning Mask. As the color results achieved are dependent on starting hair color, damage level, and porosity of the hair, so is the wash out. For hair that has a high level of toning, the results may last several washes.

How is the John Frieda Violet Crush for Blondes Purple Toning Mask different from other brands’ purple masks?

Through our proprietary penetration technology and unique blend of Blue and Violet dyes, our Violet Crush Toning Mask delivers even, perfect toning, knocking out the most stubborn yellow and orange brass. This patented technology delivers cool, ashy tones to the hair, for all over colour-deposition and toning in 1 minute.

Will the Violet Crush for Blondes Purple Toning Mask stain my hands/shower curtain?

Our Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask is colour depositing and could stain skin, fabrics or household surfaces if the product is in contact for longer than normal application time to the hair. As soon as the products are applied to the hair, take care to rinse the hands and fingers to ensure no product is left.

Will the Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask stain my hair purple?

Our Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask is designed to provide even toning to the hair. With repeated use, extended leave on times, or on damaged, porous hair, ashy or purple tones may be visible after use. These tones are temporary. They are simply removed by washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo. If necessary, you can repeat this until any unwanted colour is removed from the hair.
