         JOHN FRIEDA X CRISIS

John Frieda and Crisis believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and have the opportunity to fulfil their potential: however, people experiencing homelessness are often denied this chance. We are working together to ensure that people experiencing homelessness have access to the support they need to help build their confidence and unlock their potential.

Our Partnership

Everybody should be treated with dignity and have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. However, we know that people experiencing homelessness face many pressures that make it hard to fulfil that potential - including being ignored and stigmatised by wider society.
Crisis and John Frieda have partnered for 2022 and beyond to deliver free haircuts and personal care products to Crisis Skylight members (people at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness) across the UK. For these individuals, access to salon appointments and washing facilities can prove challenging due to the lack of a safe and stable place to call home.
For this reason, throughout October, for every John Frieda product purchased on Boots online store a donation will be made to support Crisis’ work to end homelessness. Funds raised through this campaign will ensure Skylight coaches are able to continue to offer individual
support services for members, addressing their employment, housing and wellbeing needs and ultimately helping them to leave homelessness for good.

About Crisis

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. Every year they  work side by side with thousands of people, to help them rebuild their lives and leave homelessness behind for good.

Haircuts at Christmas

Christmas can be very challenging, but particularly for people who do not have a place that they can call home.
Every December, Crisis mobilises a huge volunteer effort to bring warmth, companionship, and vital services to people at one of the hardest times of the year. We help people take their first steps out of homelessness, offering year-round support and training at our Skylight centres to help them leave homelessness behind for good.
This year Christmas centres across London will run for 16 nights across December and January. Services on offer in centres will include advice, healthcare including podiatry and eyecare, activities such as sports and yoga and the hugely popular pop-up salons.
These make a massive difference to guests’ confidence and self-esteem, giving them the chance to feel good about themselves, often for the first time in a long time.
We are delighted to be providing haircuts days throughout December, delivering free hair styling appointments and personal care products to people who would otherwise be spending Christmas homeless and alone.
