On wet hair prep in two stages: start with the Forever Smooth Leave-In Créme Primer to protect and smooth, concentrating down mid shaft of lengths and ends. Then build the foundation for long-lasting smoothness with 3 Day Straight or Straight Fixation Styling Crème.
Now begin to blow-dry. Using a large oval brush, concentrate at the roots. Really engage at the root, rolling your wrist to smooth and straighten the curls closes to the scalp.
STYLIST TIP: Blow dry at low speed and high heat. Faster speed can cause stickiness and frizz.
After finishing roots, dry the lengths with the same rolling motion. On the same heat setting, polish and smooth in large sections, keeping slight tension but curling ends under.
When hair is completely dry, take a 1.5-inch curling iron/tong, curl each section keeping barrel horizontal and creating inward curls. Keep the look polished by setting all curls in the same direction.
STYLIST TIP: Wrap curls away from the face for a modern look. Or to play with a more dramatic, retro style, wrap curls towards the face.

On wet hair, prep with the Extra Strength 6-Effects Serum to protect and smooth, concentrating down mid shaft of lengths and ends. Blow out hair with a round bristle brush holding hair taut till it’s completely dry.
STYLIST TIP: Hair should be straight at this point, if not, flat iron to smooth and straighten.
Then brush hair from root to tip to remove all tangles and to help smooth the cuticle. Separate hair into 3 sections, pinning the sections you are not working with.
STYLIST TIP: Before separating hair into sections, use a comb to create a very definite center parting as this will help to create the overall style.
Spray hair all over with a light coat of Flexible Hairspray to give hair a light coating to help create hold and definition.
Then take a 1-inch curling iron/tong and curl the hair making sure the tongue of the curling iron/tong is at the top of the hair. Twist the hair around the entire barrel holding the barrel horizontal. Leaving the tip of hair out of the barrel makes the look more natural and saves your end from further heat damage.
STYLIST TIP: As you unravel wrapped strands, cup the curl in your hands, then let it drop- this will create a tighter curl
Continue to curl all sections of hair- always holding the barrel horizontal and the clamp up.
When finished brush hair in sections with a vent brush. Take a few drops of the Secret Weapon Touch-Up Cream and coat your palms and run it through the hair- raking fingers through to smooth and polish.
