On wet hair, prep in two stages: start with the Forever Smooth Primer to protect and smooth, concentrating down mid shaft of lengths and ends. Then build the foundation for long-lasting fullness with a Blow-Out Spray at roots.
STYLIST TIP: Volumizers are heat-activated. Always blow-dry after applying one.
Now begin to blow-dry. Using a large oval brush, concentrate at the roots. Really engage at the root, rolling your wrist and lifting upward as you dry to build volume.
STYLIST TIP: Blow dry at low speed and high heat. Faster speed can cause stickiness and frizz.
After finishing roots, rough dry the lengths. On the same heat setting, polish and smooth in large sections, keeping slight tension. To achieve natural looking sleekness, pull away straight. To achieve movement at the ends, wrap hair around large oval brush to curl under or flick out.
Finish and seal in your blowout with a Flexible Hold Hairspray.

Begin with dry hair. Leave several strands of hair out around the front of your face. Take the rest of your hair and create some style grip by spraying a fine mist of a Flexible Hold Hairspray all over, be sure to not oversaturate or wet the hair. Gather the rest of your hair into a high ponytail at the top of your head.

STYLIST TIP: If starting with curlier or frizz-prone strands, begin with Original 6-Effects Serum on wet hair. As you blow dry, blow hair back with no part. If you are wanting the pony portion to look more wind-swept and wavy create waves on dry hair with a wide-barrel curling iron from root to tip.
Fasten hair with an elastic band. Take a 1-inch section of the hair in the pony and wrap it around the elastic band, tucking ends underneath. Smooth the tail of your pony by putting a dab of Touch-Up Créme into your palms, rub palms together and then smooth over your pony for a more polished tail.
Backcomb the front pieces and loosely pull them back to create lift.

STYLIST TIP: Use a flat boar bristle brush to help smooth out any bumps on top.
Secure any un-wanted loose pieces with bobby pins, use a Firm Hold Hairspray to target any un-wanted flyaways along your hairline or sides of hair.

STYLIST TIP: Commitment is key. Keep tension and avoid having to reposition after securing. Don’t be afraid to keep the top relaxed and undone with a few wispy pieces for a casual, natural look.
