Part your hair to the right or left side depending on your style preference.
On wet hair depending on your texture and level of frizz either apply the Original 6-Effects Serum or the Forever Smooth Leave-In Cream Primer to protect and smooth concentrating down mid shaft of lengths and ends. If hair is more fine use a Volumizing Mousse or Volumizing Blow Dry Spray concentrating at the roots.
Blow dry strands with a large oval brush so that lengths and ends dry to a smooth finish.

STYLIST TIP: Blow dry at low speed and high heat. Faster speed can cause stickiness and frizz.
Then using a 1 ¼”-curling iron, take 1-inch sections of hair and wrap strands around the barrel of iron starting in the mid-section of hair and curling to the root- keeping iron in a vertical position.

Twist the iron so that there is tension on the hair and pull hair out.

STYLIST TIP: When you release the curl out of the curling iron- pull the curl down helping to stretch the curl so it becomes a bend- not a curl.
Continue this step all over. Be sure to take strands that are closer to the root and curl them to add body and fullness to your style.
Once hair is curled, use fingers to finger comb through and break up and loosen the curl.

LOOSE WAVY PONY

If starting with frizz-prone strands, begin with the Original 6-Effects Serum on wet hair or for fine hair use the Fine to Full Blow-Out Spray concentrating mostly on the roots. To create added texture and wave on the lengths you can spray mid-section to ends with the Beach Blonde Sea Salt Spray. Blow dry hair back- with no defined part scrunching lengths and ends.
Once hair is dry- leave several strands of hair out of the pony to frame your face.
Place pony high or low depending on your desired style and fasten hair with an elastic band. Take a 1-inch section of the hair in the pony and wrap it around the elastic band, tucking ends underneath.

STYLIST TIP: If you want the tail of the pony to look more wind-swept and wavy create waves on dry hair with a wide-barrel curling iron from the base of the pony to the tips. Pull the curls straight and taut so the curls instantly stretch out to a bend.
Backcomb the front pieces and loosely pull them back to create lift.

STYLIST TIP: Use a flat boar bristle brush to help smooth out any bumps on top. Use a Firm Hold Hairspray to target any un-wanted flyaways along your hairline or sides of hair.
