Smooth & Shine

Advanced ionic conditioning enhances manageability and transforms dull, lifeless hair into smooth, sleek strands.

This premium straightening iron features extra-long plates with advanced ionic technology, for up to 50% more ions than ions created from natural sources, and high heat up to 455°F/235°C. True ceramic technology delivers even heat and protects against damage.

11 professional digital settings provide the perfect results on all hair types.

Apply Frizz Ease® 3-Day StraightTM Semi-Permanent Styling Spray to damp or wet hair. Start with 7-15 sprays. Use more or less depending on amount of curl, hair length and thickness. Comb to distribute evenly and blow dry hair straight with John Frieda® Full Volume Dryer. Finish by flat ironing hair with John Frieda® Sleek Finish 1-inch Flat Iron. Separate each section before straightening and place hair in between the ceramic plates as close to the root as possible. With a light, firm grip, slide the iron down the hair to the end in one smooth motion. Repeat if necessary.

Styling Tip: For added protection, apply Frizz Ease® Heat Defeat® Protective Styling Spray to small sections of dried hair before using a flat iron.

Ionic Technology
Your John Frieda® styling tool includes a high-voltage (advanced) ionic generator that generates up to 50% more ions than ions created from natural sources. The electronic ionizer generates negative ions, which neutralize positive ions in the atmosphere. This process flattens and seals the hair cuticle, reducing frizziness and flyaways, eliminating static electricity, and contributing to shine and manageability.

Ceramic Technology
The ceramic coating on your John Frieda® styling tool is a fusion of titanium and ceramic that evenly distributes heat to gently style and protect hair from damaging hot spots. The titanium is a harder, more durable, heat-resistant metal able to withstand higher heat than aluminum or other metals.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible If I could give this no stars I would!!! It literally takes me almost two hours to even try to turn it on. It is by far the worst thing I've ever purchased and so frustrating! If you aren't looking for a straightener DO NOT buy this one. I'm sorry for the. Bad review but not everyone has money to be throwing around and this is not worth your money!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved it! Ive had this straighter almost 7 years and I'm just now getting ready to order another one! it worked amazingly great! I have very thick hair and it was so hard to keep straight or do anything with and this straighter could do it all!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from piece of junk - stopped working after 2 weeks This flatiron is a piece of junk. It stopped even turning on after about 2 weeks, with minimal use (maybe a couple of times). Design is terrible, the controls are placed directly where you hold the iron while using it, which means you are changing the temperature or turing the unit on and off while trying to use it. The company will only replace it with a new iron if you pay to ship it to Arizona AND pay 5.00 to process the exchange even though it was a factory defect. The last thing I want to do is pay MORE for this junk. I bought another iron and threw this in the trash where it belongs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the worst purchase ever Do not but this. I am honestly astonished this is even on the market. I never write reviews anywhere but I was so utterly disappointed and angry that I had to. This blatantly did not even straighten my hair I have such manageable hair that is relatively thin and not hard to straighten whats so ever. It normally takes me 5 mins to straighten my hair but this iron took me half a century on the highest heat setting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ineffective and poorly designed I bought this hair straightener in a hurry without really looking at the reviews for it or any background information. I was very disappointed with the product. I like the idea of having custom heat settings, but it is overcomplicated and too difficult to know which temperature to use, so a simple high, medium, low would have been a lot better. The placement of the buttons makes absolutely no sense. If the buttons are all over the top of the flat iron then where am I supposed to put my hand to hold it? Once I had finally manoeuvred my hand into a position where I could straighten my hair without turning it off or the temperature up or down, I found that the hair straightener itself didn't do much for my hair. I have very thick, frizzy hair and even after blow waving it, I was still left with wavy, burnt smelling hair. I would definitely not recommend getting this product, I would Get anotHer proDuct instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST EVER ! I've had my straightener for almost 5 years now, and it still works as amazing as it did when i first purchased it. I cannot wait to get the hair dryer and try it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coating on heating element has worn off The coating (teflon?) has worn off of this product causing it to stick to the hair in a really bad way. Also, the controls are in the exact place you would put your thumb while using and it turns the heat down constantly. Poor design and quality. A waste of money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the John Frieda straigtening iron but not the placement of controls I bought the straightening iron because of what it does and it proved to be exactly what it described except that the controls are in the wrong place, each time I used the iron, I would touch the controls and change the temperature of it. I worked around it and was able to finish and I love the end result. I would recommend this product but the manufacturer should look into changing the placement of the controls.
