Show Off Bright Summer Blonde

This summer season, there's no need to sweat your style. Check out two on-trend ways to show off your shimmering, bright blonde colour while out and about during warm summer days and nights.

Bun Up Your Blonde

Showcase your blonde and pull hair into a gorgeous high bun. This style is easy to achieve, perfect to take from day to night (just add some show-stopping earrings), and best of all, keeps hair up and out of your face all day.

First, sweep hair together into a high ponytail, securing with an elastic band (if you can, choose an elastic that matches your shade of blonde). Next, divide hair into two sections, and add a little volume by teasing the strands—just hold each section upright and with a comb or brush, gently backcomb the hair downwards to create fullness.

Once you’ve achieved some additional lift, wrap the two sections together, and then wrap hair around the elastic band, securing it in place with a few bobby pins. To complete the look, spray Sheer Blonde® Crystal Clear Shape & Shimmer Hairspray to maintain your stylish, summer bun into the night.

Begin by brushing out all your hair, then spray quick bursts of Luxurious Volume Anytime Volume Refresher to add lift to your hair before you begin braiding. Dry shampoo will also add a bit of texture, making it easier to braid and style.

For a classic plaited look, simply separate your hair into three equal sections, then take the outer section and cross it over the middle one. Alternate between the two outer sections all the way down, and secure your braid with an elastic band (a clear one is best) when you’ve reached the length you desire.

Funky Fishtail Braid

Switch up your braid and try a few different styles, like a fun and flirty fishtail. This braid may take longer to master, but the end result is worth it. First, smooth blonde strands with a small amount of Frizz-Ease® Secret Weapon® Flawless Finishing Créme. This will tame flyaways and frizz, while also giving your hair glossy shine—perfect for showing off blonde highlights once hair is braided.

Next, gather hair to one side and divide it into two equal sections. Then, follow the direction of International Creative Consultant Harry Josh and "criss-cross small pieces from the outer edge of each side down to the ends." Secure with an elastic band and maintain this unique look all day by spritzing your blonde braid with Sheer Blonde® Crystal Clear Shape & Shimmer Hairspray.
